What hope?
Easter Monday 17th, April '06, 10.35am and it's a beautiful day!

People do love our planet, that's why we go on expensive holidays to exotic locations. Trouble is we can't see the future.

A glimpse of our future to be perhaps? At least it is one...

I got really pissed Saturday night but I do remember talking to my mate on the bus about the state of the planet. He was being particularly lucid and quite persuasive:

“Just enjoy your life to the max man”,

“Yeh sure we're over exploiting the planet...”,

“The planet won't die, but the human race will wipe itself out”,

“It will be a good thing, Earth will be free again”

and finally, jokingly imitating that trendy girl comedian from tv (with a Cockney accent)

“Am I bothered? Do I look like I'm bothered? I'm not bothered!”

and then we both LAUGH!!!

I am so perplexed how blasé we have become.

People who know me take the piss cause I've joined GreenPeace and I laugh with them, at myself! I guess I don't want to become a Whining Greenie, as I've heard I'll (have now) become. Mad? I reckon I'm the only sane one!

So I'll stop now before my soapbox collapses beneath me, with all my ranting (explaining). It just remains for me to say:

We must take action and we must ALL take action NOW.
